About our journey setting up Coasteering Adventures – Mousehole | Praa Sands | Cornwall.
Coasteering Adventures was founded by Cornish locals Chris Brown and Steve Hancock. The pair started providing outdoor adventure activities at the beaches of Praa Sands and Gwithian in 2005 and now alongside coasteering, offer surfing and eBike experiences.
Steve grew up at the nearby fishing village of Newlyn whilst Chris grew up in the village above Mousehole called Paul. Both partners spent their childhood Mousehole and have a true affiliation to the area.
After extensive research, planning and exploration along Cornwall’s rugged coastline Chris and Steve settled on what they believe to be Cornwall’s best two of Cornwall’s top Coasteering secrets. The sections of coastline at Mousehole and Praa Sands are unique, with a great variety of routes across all tides. Perfect for experiencing coasteering for the first time to those with more experience who are looking to challenge the limits of their adrenaline.
Our team of experienced guides has now grown to 6 with the addition of Michelle, Austin, Nik and Spencer. Each team member is local to the area and has been hand-picked to ensure the highest levels of quality and professionalism are achieved on a daily basis.
All of our staff are qualified lifeguards, and first aiders and we hold an AALA (Adventure Activities Licensing) licence along with being members of the NCC (National Coasteering Charter).
